| Wonder why these Davis book
women look so happy? We've just had a great conference call
with Paula Woods discussing both Inner City Blues and Stormy
Weather. Paula talked about how she got started writing
mystery books and her in-depth research experiences. Her
fascination with the characters' names and her passion for
authenticity impressed us. We asked her questions about
her own background and her insights into the issues of race
in Los Angeles. The discussion on the culture of the Los
Angeles Police Department and the female voices described
in her books was eye opening. It was a pleasure for all
of us to have this opportunity to share with a California
author. We're waiting for the next installment of Charlotte
Justice's life! |
