The Little Tramp, Charlie Chaplin |

Paintings |
Leaving his publicist to pass out the photos, Cavender
guided us unsteadily through the hotel's entrance hall,
which was dominated by a trio of paintings of old Hollywood
stars and a garish full-scale statue of Charles Chaplin.
He slowly led us up the main staircase to the mezzanine,
past a photomural on Hollywood history, and to the Academy
Room, where in the back stood a display table of videocassettes
of some of Cavender's films in a special collector's edition
and an unattended bar.
