of holiday party in Los Feliz? |
Up the hill from Aubrey's house in Los Feliz, someone
was throwing a party in a low-slung modern house set precariously
atop thirty-foot steel columns. Through the rain-streaked
windshield of my copmobile I could see the backlit, elongated
silhouettes of people holding stemware and balancing plates.
I drove past a pack of black-clad fashion ninjas closing
in on the party house. They looked like the same crowd who'd
attended the Duncan repast that afternoon—they all had that
well-groomed, on-the-hustle look I had come to associate
with entertainment people.
