| Excerpt from STORMY WEATHER |
 |
As I circled the block looking for a parking space,
I passed the abandoned and fenced-off Ambassador Hotel,
known to successive generations as either the site of the
famous Cocoanut Grove or the infamous Bobby Kennedy assassination.
But notoriety had long since bypassed this part of the city,
which was sinking under the weight of a hodgepodge of Korean-owned
businesses, past-their-prime churches, and run-down hotels.
The fact that Cy Pressman clung to offices here while the
powerhouse entertainment law firms were either headquartered
in Beverly Hills or Century City told me more about Duncan's
attorney than a background check.
